My name is Tanya. When I was a young child my family owned a small 250-acre farm in Coldwater, Michigan, where we raised American Quarter Horses and Angus and Charolais cattle.
I began riding around the age of three and participated in 4-H from age 9 to 14. When I was fourteen, we moved to Australia. I trained at the Kefford Ranch in Victoria, Australia, to improve my riding skills. I completed high school in Australia and returned to the United States in 1985 to attend Virginia Tech where I received my Bachelor of Science in Animal Science specializing in Equine Exercise Physiology in 1990.
I am a Licensed Massage Therapist, a Certified CranioSacral Therapist through the Upledger Institute and an Usui Reiki Master.
I enjoy everything equine very much and strive to create a positive learning environment for both people and their horses. My favorite hobbies are hunting, fishing, knitting, crochet, reading and writing.
